Kalinarayanpur Junction, the most peaceful railway station of Sealdah main division of the Indian Railway. The serenity and calmness of this place have made it so unique. This railway station is situated at Kalinarayanpur village, my birthplace and residence about 75km far from the mega-city Kolkata. The daily workers and farmers of the village have to go to the metro city for their earnings. Farmers carry their crops, vegetables, flowers for selling those in the big city market.

Few of them catch the last train from this isolated railway station to Kolkata to earn as much as possible from the morning market. In some factories and projects, jobs are distributed on a first come first serve basis. So the workers cannot take the chance to catch the first train of the morning. The railway platform of this small village takes its full swing at late night.

One such late night I was there to receive my friend from the station. It was a cold foggy winter night. Fortunately, I carried my camera from home seeing the foggy ambiance. Though I hadn’t any plan to shoot the railway station at that night couldn’t resist myself from doing that. After reaching there, the whole atmosphere of the platform forced me to grab the late-night gestures with all of its appeal. The blueish magical night enchanted me. And I clicked… clicked… and clicked…
