By the sea
all year round,
it’s been many years now!
Like lighthouse keepers.
The sea did not swallow them,
they did not betray her as it seems.

Two boxes at the port
one red and one blue.
The blue traveled.
The red land.

They are not rocks but two boxes.
Nest
Container,
they are still dripping their rust
on the dock.
One is blue and the other is red.

People put them on.
To shield the sea.
They used to care
I do not know any more!

Temporary peace.
There is loneliness.
There is silence.
Only the roar of the sea and the air,
sounds.
And the water tanks were left in the rain
to reflect people.

The color faded
The soul faded.
Injured,
immovably, no smell of death.
The walk of people,
indifferent presence
even if they lean on them.

One is blue and the other is red.
Endless anticipation.
Trips that will not be made
there will be no ship for them.

About Antonis Giakoumakis

I was born and raised in Chania, Crete. I live now in Chalandri, Attica. I have been involved in photography (systematically) since 2012, until then I were “absorbed” by …. IT!

I have attended many seminars and participated in group exhibitions and competitions with many distinctions. I am actively involved in several photography groups where I have learned and still learning!

Photography is for me all the things that I do not want to forget in the moment I see them, in the space where I am found, I move, I listen and I observe. It may not be objective, but it can be a constant reminder that the world is not what we see. It’s creation, communication, storytelling. In other words, it is this indefinable and unclear that leads us to a personal approach to what you see, read or hear and try to analyze it without every time, succeeding!
