These merchants, traveling from the countryside, bring life and color to the Vietnamese capital as they seek customers along busy roads.
Fascinated by their daily journeys, Dutch photographer Loes Heerink set out to document their vibrant presence. However, capturing their essence amid the city’s crowded streets proved difficult—until she discovered a new perspective. By positioning herself on pedestrian bridges and overpasses, Heerink eliminated street distractions, focusing solely on the vendors and their meticulously arranged wares.
The result is Merchants in Motion, a stunning collection of photographs that transforms these everyday vendors into moving works of art.
