In Kolkata, Every nook and corner has a story to tell. The more deeply into the city one visits, the more it unravels. Kolkata doesn’t have a single planned color that makes it stand out. It has a symphony of contrasting and unexpected colors that makes it a different kind of beautiful. There is beauty in the broken, even in houses that are a hundred years old, especially in such houses and buildings.
Through my images I’m trying to document not the part of Kolkata that is new and developing but the part that is old and forgotten. The narrow alleys, tumbledown houses, maybe with fresh paint (houses so old that they make you wonder how many times they’ve been painted before), roads that make you feel nostalgic even when you’re walking them for the first time. Let the pictures speak the rest.

I’m a student of Computer Science and Engineering and a Photographer by passion. My work includes street-portraits, street, and travel. I’ve traveled to close to 30 countries which have steered me further in this direction.
Although that is not the start of the story. One summer holiday, while I was still in school I started experimenting with the 2 MP camera of my phone and it has been six years since.
