Could you please introduce yourself?
My name is Jessica, and I am a 25-year-old living in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in BC, Canada.
How did Photography happen to Jessica?
I first resonated with fine art/conceptual photography in 2012 during my freshman year of university. Honestly, procrastination led me to find my passion. I was enchanted by the fine art photographs circulating around the internet and was so inspired that I decided to attempt getting into the genre myself. I found joy in the creative process involved with creating fine art photographs.
Soon enough, I found myself daydreaming about concepts, connecting with other creatives, and searching for costumes. Even the challenges that accompany making the final image, such as braving and combating the elements outdoor are part of the creative process. The majority of my concepts are simply me having fun by attempting to make my concepts come to life. The stories and experiences that accompany the final image are dear to my heart.
How would you define your style of Portrait Photography?
I consider it to be fine art or conceptual photography. I feel my photographs provide a glimpse into fairy ethereal fantasy worlds. I also mix between bright colorful imagery, and darker moodier tones. My subjects are usually women interacting with a mystical environment. I love playing with colors to enhance the mood in my storytelling images.
Such grace and elegance in your portraits. Few words, please?
Thank you, I feel so flattered and grateful for your kind words. I think the combination of the beautiful outdoors with women exploring it naturally radiates grace and elegance, so all I have to do is to be able to capture those moments.

Apart from photography, tell me about your hobbies and interests?
I adore outdoors activities. On powder days you’ll find me on the mountain snowboarding and chasing after the adrenaline rush that comes with the sport. When the snowfall is close to none, I go skating. When the snow is long gone, I go hiking with my friends searching for beautiful meadows, or you’ll find me swimming in the Okanagan lake on a hot summer’s day. I can write forever about my hobbies and interests. I try to integrate my hobbies and interests into my photography concepts.
