Growing up in the Netherlands, Fleur Scholte didn’t truly appreciate the beauty that surrounded them in her homeland. Initially, the landscape seemed unremarkable when compared to some other countries. However, Fleur’s perspective underwent a gradual transformation, an unexpected shift fueled by a passion for dog photography.
Acquiring a furry companion named Nanuq in 2016 ignited a newfound interest in capturing moments through the lens. The journey started with exploring different locales together, leading her to undiscovered places that had previously eluded her awareness. Through Nanuq, Fleur stumbled upon the hidden gems, the beautiful and thrilling aspects of her country that had gone unnoticed.
As the years passed, the focus of Fleur Scholte photography expanded beyond her own canine companion. Fleur had the privilege of photographing numerous remarkable Dutch dogs, each with its own unique story and charm. Looking ahead, she aspire to continue this photographic journey, uncovering more concealed landscapes and encountering a multitude of delightful dogs along the way. The lens, it seems, has become her passport to both hidden places and the hearts of canine companions.
