I was born in 1985 in Istanbul. I graduated from the Department of International Relations at Anadolu University. I worked as a photojournalist in Star Newspaper and Gercek Hayat Magazine and as a freelance photographer in photo agencies. I am currently working as a photographer at the Istanbul Fire Department.
My curiosity about photography started by listening to the stories of the construction workers of whom my father took pictures while working in Libya. Then in 2004, I started to photograph by taking photos of the tombs of Istanbul. After I got acquainted with Henri Cartier Bresson and Ara Güler, I tend towards street and documentary photography. Then my understanding of composition changed with Alex Webb and Gilles Peress.
In my photographs, I try to show the synthesis of the old and the new.
