Julie Hrudová, born in 1988 in the historic city of Prague, has established herself in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where she fully immerses herself in the realm of photography.
Her diverse portfolio has graced the pages of various publications, drawing local acclaim and international recognition through exhibitions. Notably, her collaboration with the Amsterdam-based newspaper, Het Parool, from 2020 to 2021 resulted in a captivating series of weekly street photos. This collaboration culminated in the publication of her acclaimed book, “Chasing Amsterdam,” recognized as one of the best photo books of 2022 by the Dutch newspaper, de Volkskrant.
In Julie’s own words, her inspiration to continually capture moments stems from the opportunity to unveil the “daily life and the (potential) strangeness of everyday life.” As a photographer, she strives to translate ordinary situations into her unique interpretation, crafting a fresh perspective on the mundane.
