Renowned Peruvian photographer Pedro Jarque Krebs, deeply moved by the incredible diversity within the animal kingdom, found inspiration to capture these creatures in a profoundly unique manner. Choosing to photograph these animals up close, Krebs endeavors to spotlight the alarming decline in animal populations, which have plummeted by 60% in the last half-century.
Through his lens, he breaks down the walls that separate us from these majestic species, capturing intimate moments that honor their dignity. In doing so, he reminds us that we are not the sole focal point of the universe but rather a humble component of a delicate ecosystem—one that demands our steadfast protection.
