I am Susmita Bhattacharya from Kolkata. My educational qualification is M.A. in French and teaching French is my profession. I am an amateur photographer. I like to travel and love to capture the culture of the region, festival, people, and their livelihood. Once I used to participate in salon photography so two distinctions I have complied that is AFIP and AFIAP. I have achieved some Gold medals from national and international salon photo contests.

My photo was exhibited in Lucknow Lalit Kala Academy, Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy, and some national and international art galleries. From Surat Fort National level contest Gujarat I got first prize and that was my first cash prize earning. I bought my camera in 2014 and started to capture moments from 2015. In this field, I am a student and still learning.

My views on photography

Photography is not just taking a camera and clicking everything in front of it, then select. Photography is the passion that drives oneself to improve. Taking a photo in which you are really interested. Develop own vision and creating own style.

One of my Sir told me P H O T O G R A P H Y at the beginning is Patience, Hardworking, Observation, and Timing, in between you have to Organize yourself, you may have to get up early and walk all day long to shoot in hot and cold weather, you need Groundwork, Research, and Access and at the end be Polite, Humble and Youthful.

Photography is discipline to me, exploring the world and broadens the horizon, interacting with people being humble and being young at heart, and being positive is the keyword.
