Hi, I am Suresh Babu from Erode, state of Tamil Nadu in India. Basically I am from an agriculture family, but by profession I run a school & college books retail business in Erode.
In 2002 I blessed with a baby boy, I bought a Nikon N55 SLR camera to capture my Kid. But the digital world of photography transformed my hobby into a passion. I have learned a lot from magazines & websites and people around my village helped me very much to experiment with street shots and insects.
My initial preference was to shoot mostly with insects & butterflies and but quite after sometime my interest turned to people and children’s photography.
Here are some of my achievements:
- One honorable mention in the “Emotions” category and five other images where exhibited at the Photographic Society of Madras (2009) National Salon in Chennai.
- Smart Photography magazine selected one of my images as “Photo of the Month” in the May 2010 issue.
- Three of my photos were displayed at the Photographic Society of Madras (2010) National Salon in Chennai.
- Better Photography magazine selected one of my photograph as in top 4 in the category of “Faces” in 2010 Photographer of the Year competition.
- One of my photos was selected for the Epson FotoFlock.com’s 40 finalists out of 15,000 photographs.
