Dimitris Mytas is a photographer born in Kapareli Argolis/Greece (1970).
He has studied Medicine at Athens Medical School. He lives in Athens and works there as a Hospital Cardiologist. He involved with photography in 1992 and has steadily pursued photography since then as he continues studying self-taught photography, attending courses and seminars.
He has presented his work in six solo exhibitions in Athens Greece and had taken part in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Last year’s main exhibitions: “Anatomy of Political Melancholy”/Group exhibition/Schwarz Foundation/Athens Conservatory/Athens Greece, “Mauve”/Athens Photo Festival 2019/Main Program/BenakiMusuem/Athens Greece, “Dreamtigers”/Solo exhibition/IkastikosKyklos DL Gallery/Athens Greece.
He has published five photographic collections entitled “Faces”/1998/Photohoros ed, “Insight”/2003/Photohoros ed, “Zero Ten”/2011/Metaixmio ed, “Hospital”/2016/Metaixmio ed and “Dreamtigers”/2019/Self-published.
Portfolios of his work have been published in photographic magazines/sites, exhibited in art events, and presented in photography groups.
