Artist Jasenko Đorđević from Bosnia turns ordinary pencils into beautiful miniature works of art. From his youth he interested in miniature and has been making sculptures on graphite pencils since 2010. He was the second in the world, and the first one in Europe to start creating these kinds of sculptures.
Jasenko approach on utilizing pencils in creating sculptures is truly remarkable. Using the thin graphite core embedded in the wooden shell, he painstakingly carves miniature subjects with surgical scalpels.
Jasenko had many solo exhibits and has taken participation in dozens of group exhibits. His artwork can be found in private collections across the world and ever since 2013. His work become a part of permanent exhibition in the Cumberland Pencil Museum (UK). He is also the proud recipient of the Grand Pix Award at the 7th biennale of miniature art Bosnia and Herzegovina.
