#1. Winner: Into the Labyrinth by John Seager

“This image shows a view over ‘El Laberinto’, a stunning mosaic of mollusc-shaped hills and bone-dry valleys in Argentina’s far northwest. The soft rocks have been sculpted by the harsh climate of the high altiplano into an other-worldly lunar landscape. While looking for possible compositions, I found it was quite difficult to make sense of the scene from ground level, so I decided that an aerial perspective might be the best option. I took this image using a drone in early light, showing the ethereal beauty of El Laberinto’s parched and unforgiving landscape from above.”

#2. Peoples Choice: Winding Paths by Charlie Moss

“This image represents the path that life can sometimes take us on, with twists and turns. Everyone on this planet is on a unique journey of their own, and we are the ones behind the wheel that takes us to where we want to be. Life throws some curveballs but if you stay focused and stick to the path you want, I believe you can achieve anything you set your mind to. This image is a topdown picture of Lombard Street in San Francisco taken at sunrise before the vibrant city bursts into life. You don’t get to see the windy road from this perspective when you’re standing there, which is why I was inspired to capture the image from above.”
