Solidified snapshots from a dynamic world shaped by the relentless dance of water and wind. Captured within the enchanting ice caves of Vatnajökull in Iceland, these images reveal the intricate beauty of a glacier that has endured for 2,500 years.
Spanning over 8,300 square kilometers and reaching a depth of approximately 1 kilometer at its lowest point, this ancient glacier undergoes a gradual retreat of about 1 meter annually, a consequence of rising temperatures and diminishing snowfall.
