My devotion to black and white photography finds its match in my profound admiration for African wildlife, with a special place reserved for elephants. A decade ago, during my inaugural wildlife safari in Uganda, a herd of elephants marked my first encounter with these majestic creatures.
However, it was a startling introduction as the past had been unkind to them—hunted relentlessly for their ivory. Although the era of hunting had ended, the elephants, with their remarkable memory, remained cautious. Our proximity triggered charges, leaving me, a novice wildlife photographer, wary and respectful of these intelligent beings.

#1 Baby Elephant, Few Day Old New Addition, Bonds Of Love
Over the course of ten years, numerous safaris, and tens of thousands of photographs, my initial apprehension transformed into deep affection for African elephants. Countless hours spent in their presence unveiled a world of unique behaviors and interactions. Elephants, with their exceptional intelligence, possess an uncanny ability to sense and respond to emotions. Approach them with calm and peace, and they will reciprocate in kind.
#2 Queen Of The Mara, Matriarch Elephant
Comprehending elephant behavior has granted me the privilege of capturing extraordinary moments that few have the opportunity to witness. As a fine-art wildlife photographer, my mission is to share the beauty of African wildlife through captivating black and white prints. It is my hope that these images inspire and kindle a passion for the diverse wonders that inhabit our extraordinary planet.
