My name is Noppadol Maitreechit. I live in the Chumphon province in Thailand. I have graduated in bachelor degree of the motion picture and video and used to work in the movie industry for a while. Presently I‘m running a restaurant in my seaside hometown of Chumphon.
What first drew you to photography and how did you discover it?
I like to watch movies. That’s why I decided to study the motion picture. Photography is one of the compulsory subjects which makes me highly interested.
Many things pass in my life. Even though I don’t work in the movie industry as I dearly wish, I still cherish my admiration. At the first day I’ve taken so many pictures with my mobile phone until I come to know the meaning of street photography. From that moment I earnestly started to study and tried to understand it.
What makes Street Photography so special for you?
Taking of street photography can be linked to the questions and one of that is why I like the movies, it’s just changing from moving pictures to the still ones.
In my opinion – to see a movie takes about 2 hours but you might remember or memorize only some scenes that really impressed you. To take street pictures is most likely making a real movie. I only go out to look around for somethings or any events which are strikingly memorable for me and I can record it with a camera.
One thing you always make sure to remember on the streets?
Every time I go out to take the photos I would think about the images that I would like to see and the idea to the bright places. The activities of the people. It is the expectation. We can expect the good results but in the end you just have to go for a walk, don’t expect to anything.
You are also member of Loopers Collective. Few words about your collective?
We are a group of people who are interested in the same thing and that is the street photography.
Which photographers inspire you?
Personally everything is around me. The photographers, both great amateur and professional photographers are inspiring me as same as they are providing me a gallery of images in header. The thing likes you are able to study from others. Bring the experiences that came through reuse. Your photo will display your character automatically.
