On the 24th of March, a nation-wide lockdown was announced and all of us ended up quarantining ourselves.

As street and documentary photographers, the changes to our creative endeavors were seismic. Our primary subjects, the strangers that we capture during our regular walks, were no longer accessible.

However, we at In-Street, Suresh Naganathan, Aniruddha Guha Sarkar, Sankar Ghose, Jayati Saha, and Sreeranj Sreedhar turned it into an opportunity. A chance to turn back the camera towards ourselves, to reconnect with our loved ones, to capture more personal moments in our lives.

The following In-Street Lockdown project is an ode to the mundane, an expression of our joy in using creativity to document our new and confined world.
