“When I capture portraits, my aim is not merely to depict the individual in the frame, but also to encapsulate their essence, their very ‘existence.’ Moreover, I find that a part of myself is inevitably woven into the photograph—my mood, my emotions, and, most significantly, my own existence.”

“I firmly believe that each individual carries their own unique history. Our emotions, perceptions, and thoughts are all shaped by the narratives of our past, which profoundly influence how we perceive the world around us. To convey this notion, I incorporate meaningful objects into my work. For instance, I feature apples and lilies, my father’s favorite flowers, as well as a red umbrella gifted by my parents, and garments from my childhood, each symbolizing aspects of my existence. Among these items, the red umbrella holds special significance as a tangible link to my departed parents, serving as a poignant symbol of my identity. Every photograph featuring the red umbrella can be viewed as a reflection of myself, akin to a self-portrait.”

I aspire for my work to inspire others to cherish the present moment and appreciate the fleeting beauty of life.”
