Halyson kicks it up a notch as he records the process of taking his own photos in the streets, in the wild, or any other setting. He posts his videos of the process on TikTok and publishes the photos on Instagram. Sure, the process itself may look strange, but it’s the result that matters. And he has 1.4 million followers on the platform to show for it.
In Halyson’s words “Photography came into my life in 2016. While I was still in college, I was studying physical education. I was always very attached to editing and processing images. I always received a lot of praise from friends and family saying that my photos were beautiful, then one day, I took courage and decided to buy my camera. I started to study and study the market. In the first months, I was robbed; they took everything. I went half a year without having it, then I got stronger and bought it all again. And today, after much dedication, effort and study, I am reaping the rewards. I decided to lock up my studies to dedicate myself to photography.”
