Hi, I’m Arun Titan working as a Visual Artist. People and Street Photography is where my interest lies.
What INSPIRED me?
I was 12 years old when I experienced that picture, depicting the tailor carrying his sewing machine across flooded waters. It was the moment when I looked at Steve McCurry’s Tailor in Monsoon, Porbandar (India), which made me look a picture as an art and expressed a story by itself. That was the most inspiring incident, which made me passionate about photography.
The insight behind my photography is not ‘the’ subject, it’s who I am and it’s a meditation for me. As a fine arts guy, to express what I feel, through a medium is Photography. Ideally, my photographs speak more than I do.

A beautiful selection of images, breath-taking. I love the clouds, the way you capture conflicting emotions of people and places, the omnipresent umbrellas … I especially like the pictures of people in front of their houses but can’t decide which one I like most!

Very nice shots at good time. But Indian photographer only and only get money or award when they shoot Hungry and Poor people. Those photos make some money for that photographer but those photos make wrong image of India in the world. Please stop, show something good.

@Jiggi – Please tell me where you see hunger/poorness in the above photographs? If money or awards is the motto, there is always so many other jobs where we get that. One should be passionate enough to take up Photography we get only what we deserve. India is a land of contrast. Both poor and rich live here. It is in the eyes of the beholder to see the richness and poorness. If you are talking about some other persons, then you are in the wrong forum.
Arun Titan, well known for the composition! He is just amazing! I like & learn compositions from each of his photo. His dedication is awesome, we should learn from him! For one photo he can wait for hours! Arun, really you are amazing and inspiring all!
