Title : Benedito
Description : Opposite the central market in Sao Luis do Paraitinga, something stood out more than the yellow walls of the building constructed in 1809. Benedict talked to some people and laughed loudly as a woman showed him a camera. When I saw his eyes hidden beneath the hat, I could not help asking for a portrait. Benedict, like all residents of the small rural town, was very nice and told me he lived there for over seventy years. The reason for the laughter was a photo in which he held his granddaughter, who inherited the honey-colored eyes of his grandfather.
