Impasto Process is a very literal study of what Fine Art Photography is. Is it the process of clicking a button, and the act of intention behind the artist, or is it the subject that is being photographed? This is a question that I have been asking myself for a long time. And my conclusion is that it is both.
It took weeks of planning, two days, more than 10 liters of paint, and a very patient model to create these images. During the process, I was very aware of the story I wanted to tell, at the same time wondering which story the audience would take away from the image?
My hope is that people will stop and hopefully look closer… I hope it gives the audience some insight into the mind of a creative and perhaps more of a story to think about when looking at my work. I hope they get the same enjoyment from looking at it, as I did when I was making it.
