#3. 3rd Place: "Riders of the Volcano" by Mahdndra Bakle, India
"Riders of the Volcano" – Mount Bromo, Indonesia The Tenggerese people, known as “The Horsemen of Bromo” in Indonesia, embody a captivating cultural legacy in the stunning landscape surrounding Mount Bromo. Their vibrant customs and role as horseback guides create an immersive experience for visitors exploring the volcanic terrains. #4. "Pass By" by Xiaoping Lin
"The big fish chased the small fish and rushed out of the water together, passing the egret. The egret looked surprised and did not know where the small fish would go under the laws of nature? Just like a poem: I pass by you, you come in a hurry, and before I realize it, you have gone far away, leaving me with a regretful back."
#5. "Equilibrium in Motion" by Ivan Duran, Mexico
"This artwork captures momentum through the striking balance between dualities—light and dark, stillness and motion, the physical and the symbolic. The figure, suspended mid-leap, embodies the moment of perfect equilibrium before action resumes, representing the momentum that arises from the constant push and pull between opposing forces."
#6. "Thunderstruck" by Nickolas Warner, United States of America
"This was taken outside of my home in Kanab, Utah. I was working on the computer when I got a notification on my phone that a large storm was approaching. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, I RAN out of the house with my camera in tow. I drove a few miles out of town and saw this ominous storm approaching. I plunked down my camera and watched as this storm barreled towards me."
#7. "Upside down" by Walter Fogel, Germany
"das Bild zeigt ein bewegtes Farbspiel"
#8. "The Disappearing of Rubi" by Benson Apah, Nigeria
"This piece, titled The Disappearing of Rubi, captures the emotional tension between curiosity and anxiety when stepping into the unknown. Using motion blur to signify movement, the photograph illustrates Rubi caught in a state of flux—moving both forward and backward simultaneously. The visual distortion embodies the push and pull of momentum, as Rubi is pulled by the thrill of new beginnings while being weighed down by the fear of the unfamiliar."
#9. "Windows of Hope" by Pyae Phyo Thet Paing, Myanmar
"As the Yangon cycle train rushes forward, a mother and her young son lean closely to the window, their eyes reflecting the promise of tomorrow. The rhythm of the train mirrors the unstoppable energy of life’s momentum, carrying them toward the horizons of their dreams. This scene captures the essence of everyday life in Yangon, ordinary moments infused with aspiration, as the motion of the train becomes a symbol of progress and hope for the future. Their journey, like life itself, moves forward with the unstoppable force of momentum."
#10. "Niềm vui trẻ thơ" by Phạm Quốc Dũng, Vietnam
