The German Society for Nature Photography (GDT) has unveiled the victorious photographs in the latest European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Javier Aznar González de Rueda from Spain emerged as the grand champion, securing the top accolade for his outstanding image titled “Maternal Care.”
In this year’s rendition of the competition, photographers hailing from 42 European countries participated, showcasing a diverse range of perspectives. A distinguished five-member international jury dedicated three days to meticulously curate the selection, ultimately identifying 107 winning images distributed across nine standard categories and two special categories.
