The 2025 World Food Photography Awards have unveiled a stunning selection of shortlisted photos that celebrate the artistry, culture, and emotion tied to food around the world. From vibrant street food scenes and elegant still lifes to intimate moments in home kitchens, these images capture more than just meals—they tell stories of tradition, passion, and human connection.
Each photo showcases remarkable technical skill and a deep understanding of how food can evoke memory, identity, and joy. This year’s shortlist highlights the global diversity of culinary expression, proving once again that food photography is as much about storytelling as it is about aesthetics.

#1. Winner: "House of Atlas from the series ‘Reclaiming the Muse’" by Grace Weston (USA)

"My miniature staged photographic series examines familiar muses from past artworks, stories, and mythology, reframing them in contemporary terms through an intersectional feminist lens.
In my version of the Atlas myth, the housewife is in the role of supporting the whole world, while focusing on the small details, such as, vacuuming the carpet. It seems that women are often the most tasked to clean up the messes of the world, whether global or minute."
