Sony a7R II Hands-On Review

DP Review First Look: “The a7R II offers a massive 42.4MP of resolution, and is the largest backside-illuminated sensor to date, which we expect will give the camera top-notch low-light and dynamic range performance. The shutter is considerably better damped, and an electronic first-curtain completely eliminates all sources of camera-induced shake. One of the most impressive features of the a7R II is its autofocus system. 399 phase-detection AF points offer over 60% horizontal and vertical frame coverage (more than in any competing full-frame camera), which will also work with third party lenses. Internal 4K recording with advanced AF also makes it a versatile video camera. ”
