This photo story is something on the lines of loneliness and the pain of getting old. Joydeep Mukherjee is a very passionate photographer who loves to capture the untold tales of human emotions. This photostory is such a tribute to his wonderful style of photography.

I am old and grey. I am alone inside these four walls and I can only talk to my loneliness. My loneliness is killing me inside.

I am almost imperceptible to those people, who are happy in their busy own world. Sometimes, I feel like a critter, for whom these humans had a stiff-arm.

I wasn’t born to be an undeserving creature like I am now. But over the years I have realized that I was just not acceptable to fit in here.

Now I am completely disconnected…mentally, physically and emotionally from the entire human race. I don’t even feel like being alive anymore. I am almost sacrosanct, detached and redundant. I don’t wish to have any company. I don’t want to see anyone. I want to lie down in my bed, darkness all around with the curtains drawn. My life is full of emptiness. I feel like a sluggish wave to come and wash me over.

My solitude and its pain!! I wish no one can ever experience them.

About Photographer

I am a photographer who believes that an artist’s work must be good consistently to be considered as an art. One must have ‘eyes like a shutter and mind like a lens’!!…. I always ‘work for a cause, not applause…I live life to express, not impress’!!

From my early days, I have been interested in various kinds of sports, trekking and travelling but it was only in 2003 that I stepped into the world of photography. During a trek to the Annapurna Base Camp – Nepal I got interested in photography. From this time forth this passion became an integral part of my life.

According to me a photographer must be technically competent to use the various techniques to change a photograph from a mere snap to a “snapshot of someone’s life”. Photographs can be used to narrate a story, and thus should not cater to the aesthetic aspect only. Despite my hectic working hours at a reputed Kolkata-based MNC, the passion for photography remains undiminished.

Photography…Let our words be few…exposures many!!
